When Hansen was approached by Graeme Powdrell of Dargaville to sponsor him for his 2013 Pork Pie Charity Run we were only too happy to assist. Graeme and a bunch of 50 Mini enthusiasts are retracing the route from Kaitaia to Invercargill taken by the infamous yellow mini in the iconic New Zealand movie “Goodbye Pork Pie” travelling from Kaitaia to Invercargill in just six days!!! All this will take place over Easter Weekend 2013 with the Mini’s stopping at events and attractions along the way with the money raised going to Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand.
Every day 6 children and adults in New Zealand are diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or a related blood condition.
Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand is the national charity dedicated to supporting patients and their families living with blood cancers like leukaemia and related blood conditions and they receive no government funding.
Graeme and his Mini enthusiasts feel so passionately about this event that they pay all their own expenses so that all the money can be donated back.
If you are able to donate even a small amount, you can do this by going to their fundraising pages at the following links:
